Garbage bags, big and industrial strength to hold carpet, sheet rock, a ton of damaged items and keep in the smell of week old rotten food
Bleach
Isopropyl alcohol, 90%
Spray bottles
Rubber gloves
Hand sanitizer
Bottled water
Diapers
Baby wipes
Cat and dog food, some toys or blankets to destress pets
Lowe’s, Home Depot, and Walmart gift cards
Toiletries
Sheets, pillows and blankets

Ya’ll boost this please! My community is in devastation and we are so lucky that we live in a place where we take pride in taking care of our neighbors bc a lot of people are being helped and saved by civilians! The feds are little help in these situations as usual, there is even a large group that has come together called The Cajun Navy that is a group of people who have boats and havent been effected as badly that are coming together and going out in their boats to help and to rescue people and animals. So many good people here are helping, nearly every business has a donation/charity drive going on in some way, please note that the majority of help right now is literally coming from neighbors and civilians!
Pregnancy centers in Louisiana are also taking donations to help families who have been displaced, especially those with small children. To support them, check out Louisiana Right to Life’s flood relief page.
